Medical Billing Services Included in a monthly fee
Just some of the items that we handle
- Work the Hold / Mgrhold buckets in Athena including dropping and/or resubmitting claims
- Review of CBO Hold Buckets
- Track down payments and outstanding AR
- Coordinate issues with Payer Relations, as needed
- Contact payers or Athenahealth for specific claim issues
- Set up rules / and Set custom rules within Athena to benefit the practice
- Perform any coding/charge corrections – permission may need to be given as providers are responsible for approval of coding changes
- Review of missing charges if needed or enter charges
- Analyze payments for underpayment trends – Fee schedules of Insurance are needed first (monthly)
- Manage / Monitor credits, refunds, and collections within the practice (monthly)
- Set up or run Monthly reports and Monthly Meetings to go over reports
- Identify and Manage trends in Performance
- Manage un-postable’s, self-pay AR, correspondence dashboards
- Patient calls - Answer any questions or concerns and take payments (if CC is set up in Athena)
- Billing office patient line may be entered on practice statements to answer billing questions 386-313-5287
- Provide one-off / on-premise support on Athena – WebEx is available and fees will apply for in-house training outside of the billing agreed amount. * See fee
- Record and Keep track of any payer or other issues that arise
- Set up payer websites if needed and alert payersiteadmin@athenahealth.com
- Additional duties may apply within Athena for billing or factors to what the client’s needs are
- Also, including in billing that we do is clean up old accounts outside of Athena * additional fees
- Analyst of Fee Schedule or update of Fee Schedule * additional Fee applies – (will be done yearly)
- Cost Analyst of Vaccines / Injections / Supplies – Must send list and cost of items – Must be on Athena for several months to get an accurate read. (will be done yearly)
